Neta B. Maynard Halter, age 66, of Conway, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2003 in Conway Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Halter was born May 13, 1937 in Faulkner County a daughter to the late Rueben Maynard and Zelma Nicholson Maynard. Mrs. Halter was a homemaker, and a member of the World Wide Church of God in Little Rock. She graduated from Bay High School outside of Jonesboro, and much of her pastime was spent oil painting, reading, embroidering, but she loved most of all spending time with her grandchildren, and family.
Neta was a kind loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many and she will be missed by all.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister: Mary Nell Sharp, and a grandson: Jesse Blevins
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Ferdinand Halter of Conway; One son: David Halter of Conway; Three Daughters: Angela Johnson and husband Mike of Vilonia, Rita Thomas and husband Jimmy of York, Nebraska, Rebecca Blevins and husband Danny of Vilonia. Nine Grandchildren: Brandon, Tyler, Zayne and Austin Johnson; Haylee Halter, Marinna Thomas, Hollie, Michael, and Matthew Blevins along with a host of other family members, and friends.
There will be a gathering of remembrance held for Mrs. Halter, 10:30a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2003 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett – Conway with Larry Estes and Joe Hall officiating. Pallbearers will be Eugene Kuettel, Tim Halter, J.D. Pearce, Howard Pearce, Larry Nicholson, and Richard Nicholson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Micky Nicholson and Charles Nicholson. Family visitation will be held from 9:30a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Saturday before the service, there will be a viewing from 3-5p.m. Friday afternoon.
