Betty LaVerne Terry, 54, of Greenbrier died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, in Little Rock. She was born March 4, 1954, in Strong, daughter of the late Fred Gates, Sr. and Maxine (Dopson) Spruiell. She was also preceded in death by her step-father, Tony O. Spruiell, and two brothers, Lloyd and Jerry Wayne Gates.
Betty was a retired upholstery fabricator for Falcon Jet and was a licensed cosmetologist. She was a lifetime member and female Master Gold Wing Rider in Arkansas and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors are her husband, Harold Gene Terry, Jr. of Greenbrier; her sister, Susie Thomason of Conway; brothers, Fred Gates of Greenbrier; Joel Spruiell of El Paso; grandfather, Arthur Spruiell of Greenbrier; nephews and nieces, Shane, Chris, David, Amber, Alethea, Nikki, Nick, Katie, Taylor, Colten and Camren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway.
Burial will follow in Vilonia Cemetery, with her nephews serving as pallbearers,
