Maxine Dopson Spruiell of Conway died Friday, November 4th, 2005, in her home, at the age of 72. She was born in Strong, Arkansas, December 8th, 1932 to the late Ainsley and Altha Elkins Dopson.
She is preceded in death by her husband Tony who died in 2002, by her son: Jerry Gates, and her brother and sister: Thomas and LaVerne Dopson.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of El Paso and had retired from the City of Conway as Finance Officer after 23 years of employment.
She is survived by her father-in-law: A.M. Spruiell of El Paso, by her children: Fred Gates and wife Renee of Greenbrier, Lloyd Gates and wife Debbie of Conway, Joel Spruiell of El Paso, Betty Beaty and Susie Thomason both of Conway; by twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and by her sisters: Jaxine Salter of Greenbrier and Ann Polk of Bossier City, Louisiana.
Interred in Vilonia Cemetery.
