Lola M. Pate, 97, went to be with the Lord on July 5, 2013. She was living in Madison, AL, near her daughter.

Lola grew up in Vilonia, AR, where she played on the girl's basketball team. She attended Vilonia Methodist Church, where she sang for services and at singings, many times accompanied by her sister, Opal.

After graduating from high school, she attended ASTC and graduated from there in 1963. During this time, she taught in the elementary grades at Bisco, El Paso, Jacksonville, and Cabot.

In 1942, she married her middle school sweetheart, Aubrey. They enjoyed many activities together, including camping and Razorback games. They were married for fifty-three years.

She is survived by her daughter, Diana Combs of Huntsville, AL; grandson, Clay Combs and his wife, Kristy of Harvest, AL; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Lily Combs; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Vilonia United Methodist Church with Reverend Nathan Kilborn. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway.
