Obituary

Hugh Densmore Colston, age 88, of Batesville, Arkansas (formerly of Harrison, Arkansas) died Sunday, April 5, 2009 in a Batesville hospital.

Born on May 22, 1920 in Gaither, Arkansas, he was the son of George Colston and Bertie Martin Colston.

He was a retired carpenter, a veteran of the US Army having served during World War II and was a member of the Harrison St. Church of Christ in Batesville.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Foresee Colston of Batesville; one daughter, Sandy Coggins and her husband, Jack of Batesville; two grandsons, Jason Coggins and his wife, Dawn Marie of Little Rock and Jeff Coggins and his wife, Courtney of Marion and one great granddaughter, Parker of Marion.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters and two brothers.

Services are Wednesday, April 8, 10:00 a.m., at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Tom German officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville under the direction of Willis Funeral Service of Batesville.

Pallbearers are Benson Hardaway, Don Hefley, Jackie Jo Hudson, James Simmons, John Treece and Mitch Williams.

Visitation is Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m.
