Obituary
Jay K. Crawford, 82, of Batesville died Sunday, June 17, 2012 in Batesville.

He was born September 14, 1929 in Moline, Illinois and was the son of James L. Crawford and Foda Partlow Crawford.

Jay was a U S Army Veteran. He retired as the industrial relations manager with Gencorp. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a 53 year member of Masonic Lodge #402 and Newark Lodge #248. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, and loved spending time with his family. He loved to fish, bird hunt, and garden. Jay was a member of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Geneva Sexton Crawford of Batesville; a son, Perry Crawford and wife, Ruth, of Batesville; two daughters, Theresa Shetron and husband, Ronnie, and Kimberly Crawford, all of Batesville; five grandchildren, Shannon Shetron, Shawn Shetron, Stacey Crawford Couch, James Crawford, and Rayne Hatch; eleven great-grandchildren, Courtney Shetron, Kaitlynn Shetron, Chayne Shetron, Jackson Shetron, Corbin Sturch, Tim Selvidge, Guy Couch, Ashley Crawford, Jason Crawford, Kaelin Schroeder, and Colin Schroeder; special nephews; Jack Wade Crawford and Ron Sexton; and several other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Batesville with Bro. Mike Hoggard officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.

Pallbearers are Shannon Shetron, Shawn Shetron, James Crawford, Rayne Hatch, Tim Selvidge, and Kevin Couch. Honorary pallbearers are Ron Sexton, Members of Center Lodge #402, Newark Lodge #248, his great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and Dr. Neaville and staff.

Visitation is from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the funeral home.
