Obituary
Fred Pectol, age 88, of Batesville, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2007. Born on April 21, 1919 in Newark, Arkansas, he was the son of Bob Pectol and Sarah Robertson Pectol.
He was a retired carpenter, bee keeper, a veteran of the US Army having served during World War II as a Sgt. in the Combat Engineers and was a member of the Central Avenue Church of Christ in Batesville.
Survivors include his wife, Zelma Pectol of Batesville; one son, Perry Pectol of Batesville; one sister, Lucille Gibson of Jonesboro; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; two sisters and one son, Jerry Pectol.
Services are Friday, November 2, 2:00 p.m., at the Willis-Hays Chapel in Batesville with Troy Henley and J.B. Milligan officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Willis-Hays Funeral Service of Batesville.
Pallbearers are Timmy Gibson, Rickey Reed, Jackie Magness, James Burnett, Donald Boles and Ernie Pectol.
Honorary pallbearers are Durwood Elms, Dr. Ron Bates, Larry Gillespie and J.T. Skinner.
Visitation is Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m.
