Ardell "Boots" Holloway, 82, of Holland, Arkansas, parted this life on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Conway Regional Health System. She was born December 2, 1928, in Holland, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Augustus and Fannie (Bass) Lackey. She was also preceded in death by a brother, O. D. Lackey and a sister, Lillian Watson.
Mrs. Holloway was a member of Pickles Gap Baptist Church and was former co-owner and operator of Holloway Grocery. She was an avid antique car collector and enjoyed going to car shows, flea markets and antique shops.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bobby F. Holloway of Holland; her son, Bobby J. Holloway and wife Luruth of Conway; grandsons, David Joe and Adam Farrell Holloway of Ft. Worth, Texas; and her sister, Judy Jackson of Holland.
Visitation will be 7:00 – 8:00 pm, Thursday, June 2, 2011, at the funeral home. Funeral is scheduled for 10:30 am, Friday, June 3, 2011, at Pickles Gap Baptist Church with Brother Laramie LeQuieu officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery at Holland, under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway.
