Mrs. Vera Ruzicka, age 80 of Salem, AR, formerly of Mountain Home passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016 in Salem. She was born May 5, 1936 in Czechoslovakia to John and Antonie Holzapfel. She married John Ruzicka. She survived four Nazi concentration camps during the German occupation in WWII. Vera was a born again Christian. She enjoyed crocheting and her passion was dancing with her husband and listening to his accordion. Mrs. Ruzicka is survived by 3 daughters: Vera (Glen) Ruzicka of Utah, Gina (Loyd) King of Salem, AR, Anna Johnston and Steve Weinberg of Illinois; a son John (Inna) Ruzicka of Illinois; 8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, brothers and sisters. She also has numerous friends that mourn her passing, She was preceded in death by her husband John Ruzicka in 2003. Visitation will be from 9-10 AM Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Roller Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 10 AM at Roller. Interment will follow in Baxter Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
