Shirel "Bach" McGinty, 80, of Holland, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the VA Hospital in Little Rock after a very long illness.
He will be greatly missed by his many family and friends. We know he will be smiling down from Heaven.
Survivors include his loving wife and caregiver for the past several years, Marion (Earnhart) McGinty; his only child, Elizabeth (McGinty) Johnson and husband Dale; two grandchildren, Lauren Mayhall and husband Dusty, and Brandon Wade Johnson; only surviving brother, Paul McGinty of Greenbrier; one "special" sister-in-law, Sunny Sue Earnhart; and brother-in-law, Charles Earnhart of Mayflower.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Frankie (Freeman) McGinty; three brothers, Lloyd, Ralph, and Mark; and two sisters, Freda Popp and Bronnie Cardin.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Oakland United Methodist Church in Holland with Sister Lanita Daniels officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery with Johnny Cardin, Terry Cardin, Donnie Barnett, Paul J. McGinty, Nolan Cardin, and David Cardin, serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Monday, September 19, 2011 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Greenbrier.
