Bobby F. Enwright, age 87, passed away September 28, 2016 at Harbor Crest Home in Fulton, Illinois, after fighting a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
Bobby Francis Enwright was born November 30, 1928, the son of Francis and Edith (Goddard) Enwright in Clinton, Iowa. He graduated from Elvira High School. Following high school, Bobby enlisted in the U. S. Air Force in 1948 and retired in 1968 as a Master Sergeant after serving our country for 20 years. He fought in the Korean War and was also stationed in Alaska and Thailand.
Bobby loved animals and after retiring, he raised several different animals on his small farm. He would take llamas, donkeys, goats, and his small Corgi dog, Maggie, to different nursing homes to cheer up the residents.
Bobby is survived by a daughter, Irene Enwright of Clinton; two sons, Michael (Joey) Enwright of Wylie, TX and Billy Enwright of Corvallis, OR; grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Greve and Shane (Megan) Greve of Iowa City; three great-grandsons, Isaac, Witten and Owen; a sister, Phyllis Hasenkamp of Clinton; four step-daughters, Sandy (Dale) Chandler and Susan Matheny all of California, Sandy Jones and Connie (Terry) Jones all of Alabama; several step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and four nieces and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Adean; and two step-sons, John and Gary Stamps.
A remembrance of Bobby took place on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton, IA.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Midway Baptist Church in Melbourne. Burial will follow at Combs Cemetery, where Bobby will be buried alongside his beloved wife, Adean, who passed away August 1, 2016.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time on Saturday.
Local arrangements are by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.
