Helen M. Reeves Denas, 83, of Cabot died Tuesday, July 1 in Little Rock. Born in Los Angeles, she was one of 12 children born to Henry and Maybelle Reeves. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, T. Lorella Boyd, Inez Dudley, Dorothy Stanley, Pearl Alice Sullivan, Jackie White and Jill Reeves; along with brothers, Guy, Joe and Joel Reeves; and her beloved husband, James Denas.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Ellen "Bill" Carter; brother, Ralph Reeves; and a host of nieces; nephews; and friends.

Helen was a long time member of the First Assembly of God Church and the Jacksonville Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Family members recall that Helen was loving and generous as well as "the most interesting aunt". Helen loved to travel, play matchmaker and was an accomplished singer, serving as a soloist in many church choirs.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 6, from 2–4 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home , 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock. The Funeral service will be Monday, July 7 at 11 a.m. in the Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mission Projects Fund at First Assembly of God North Little Rock, 4501 Burrow Rd., N. Little Rock, Ark. 72116.
