Jesse Odell Johnston, 82 of Mayflower, Arkansas passed from this life on Saturday, April 16, 2016.

Jesse was born on Saturday, April 14, 1934 in his home in Mt. Vernon, Arkansas. He was retired from the Ward Bus Factory.
He was a hard worker but was a happy soul, friend to all and knew no strangers. He had a passion for making others laugh with his tricks and humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harmon and Ethel Johnston; Wife, of almost 50 years, Leona Mae and two sisters, Amy Collins and Mayme Beene.

He is survived by his brother, Dee Johnston; his three sons, Ronnie (Bernie), John Dee (Pam), and Wesley (Floy) Johnston; one daughter, Tina Bell (Milton); nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Friday, April 22, 2016 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
Interment will follow at Mayflower cemetery in Mayflower, AR.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Thursday, April 21, at the funeral home.


Leona Mae Johnston, 79, of Mayflower passed from this life on May 15, 2014. She was born in Hill Community, AR to the late Wesley Miles and Zora Augusta Wright on February 16, 1935. Leona was retired from Molex. She was a member of the Mayflower United Methodist Church, known as a great cook, and loved spending time with her loving family and church family.

She is survived by her husband; Jesse Odell Johnston of 49 years, three sons; Jessie Ronnie Johnston (Bernie), John Dee Johnston (Pamela), Wesley Odell Johnston Sr. (Floy),one daughter; Tina M. Bell (Mickey), one sister; Jeanette Dunham (Larry), one brother; Pete Ellison Wright, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and numerous loving friends. Leona is also preceded in death by one brother; Wesley Leonis Wright.

A Funeral Service will be held in her honor on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Mayflower United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Mayflower Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral Home on Sunday Evening.
