Loyd Samuel Sublett, 73, of Conway died Wednesday (June 18, 1997) at his residence.

Born March 5, 1924, in Mount Vernon, son of the late Barney and Nancy Spradlin Sublett, he was a grader operator for the Faulkner County Road Department and a Baptist.

Survivors are his wife, Bonnie Gentry Sublett; three sons, Dennis Sublett of Grady (Lincoln County) and Clarence Sublett and John David Sublett, both of Wooster; two brothers, Floyd Sublett of Mount Vernon and Boyd Sublett of Flint, Mich.; two sisters, Amy Gardner of Mount Vernon and Billie Ford of Conway; 12 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home with the Rev. John Gilliom officiating.


Burial will be in Mayflower Cemetery by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Chad Sublett, Jeffery Sublett, Joseph Sublett, Alford Sublett, Carlos Raines and Nathan Gentry."
