Elmo Stone services are at 10 this morning
Services for Elmo Stone of Mountain Home will be at 10 a.m. today at East Side Baptist Church with the Rev. Byron Allen and the Rev. O. I. Ford officiating. Mr. Stone, 69, died Thursday, February 21, 1991, at his home. He was a lifetime resident of the area.
Burial will be in Wayland Arbor Cemetery at Dolph with Rickey Sanders, Randy Sanders, Tommie Sanders, Terry Sanders, Harlen Sanders, and Carl Russell serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Lyle Sanders, Gene Sanders, Garland Sanders, Roger Williams, Greg Williams, Kenny Stephen, Keith Stone and members of the Men's Sunday School Class at East Side Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Gladys Sanders Stone, at home, and his daughter, Diane Davenport of Sydney, Australia. He also is survived by his grandson, Brad Elbrader of Mountain Home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Sally Dickson Stone; one brother; and one sister.
Born September 17, 1921, at Dolph, Mr. Stone was a retired mechanic and had retired after a 39-year career at Norcross Ford. Mr. and Mrs. Stone were married June 29, 1946, at Dolph. He was a member of the Mountain Home Masonic Lodge and member of the Ozark VFW. He was also a member of East Side Baptist Church and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Memorials may be made to East Side Baptist Church.

Note: Burial was in the Dolph Baptist Cemetery which is across the road from the Wayland Arbor Cemetery.

Mrs. Gladys I. Stone, age 93 of Mountain Home passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016 in Mountain Home. She was born March 11, 1923 in Dolph, AR to Arthor (Doc) Sanders and Nola Dockins Sanders. She married William Elmo Stone on June 29, 1946.

Gladys worked at Dryers Shoe Store on the square for over 30 years. She and Elmo were founding members of Eastside Baptist Church. Gladys was outgoing and loved to laugh. She loved her siblings dearly and held all her relatives and friends close to her heart. She loved growing flowers and visiting with friends.

She is survived by a daughter Dianne (Lindsay) Dent of Mountain Home and a grandson Brad (Linda) Elbrader of Norfork; 4 siblings: Howard "Bill" (Judy) Sanders of Mountain Home, Bobby Wayne Sanders of Mountain Home, Juanita (Herman) Stephens of Sarasota, Fla, Geneva Norman of Winchester, TN; 3 sisters-in-law: Sharon Sanders of Mountain Home, Patricia Sanders of Mountain Home and Mabel Stone of Dolph; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elmo Stone, 3 brothers and 3 sisters: Ersie Sanders, Dixie Russell, Laz Sanders, Clersie Sanders, Pete Sanders and Jay Sanders.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Roller Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held 10 AM Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Dolph Baptist Church conducted by Doug Husky. Interment will follow in Dolph Baptist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Dolph Baptist Church, 992 Rodney Cutoff Road, Dolph, AR 72528. So many family memories are held within those walls. Mom cherished each memory.

Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
