87, of Clinton went to be with her Lord on Monday, November 28, 2005. She is survived by her husband of 68 years L.B Curley Dawson, one brother Jimmy Brannon of Goshien, four children and their spouses Louis Benton Dawson Jr. & wife Judy of Clinton, Mary Jane Odom and husband Darrell and Julia Ann Bonds and husband Corbet of Greenbrier and James Dawson and wife Lana of Springdale. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was born March 29, 1918 in Greenbrier and was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Downer Brannan & James “Will” Brannon, her step-mother Nannie Brannan, four brothers Sam, Otis, Oliver & Rommie Brannan, one sister Ruby Burkett. She was a faithful member of the Clinton First Baptist Church for 46years, a homemaker, seamstress, a loving wife, mother and “Granny” to her family. Family visitation will be from 6-8pm Tuesday, at the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton. Services will be held at 10am Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at the Clinton First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway.


L.B "Curly" Dawson 90, of Clinton, AR. passed away February 29, 2008. He was preceded in death by wife of 68yrs Mildred Brannan Dawson.

Survivors include wife Fay Kelso of the home; sons Louis and wife Judy Dawson of Clinton, AR.; James and wife Lana Dawson of Springdale, AR.; daughters Mary and husband Darrell Odom of Greenbrier, AR. and Julia and husband Corbet Bonds of Greenbrier, AR.; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Curly was on the local hospital Board for 35yrs as Board Secretary; also he was the Faulkner County Deputy Clerk; he played piano and fiddle and from 1951-1954 was the founder of Curly Dawson's Ozark Jamboree.

Visitations are Sunday evening from 3-5pm at the Roller McNutt Funeral Home with services Monday at 10am, March 3, 2008 at the Clinton First Baptist Church with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway.
