Henry C. Hartje, 77, of North Little Rock, formerly of Conway, died Tuesday (March 19, 1968). He was dead on arrival at North Little Rock Memorial Hospital from an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Hartje was a retired baker.
A native of Conway, he was a son of George W. and Mattie Duke Hartje.
He was married in 1921 to the former Perlin Thayer, who survives.
Mr. Hartje was a mason and a member of the Washington Avenue Methodist Church.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. William Foreman of North Little Rock; two sons, Dr. Robert Hartje of Springfield, Ohio, and H.C. Hartje of Lakeland, Fla.; and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at McNutt Funeral Home by the Rev. Roy A. Poyner. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery with Masonic honors.
Pallbearers will be Robert McHenry, Robert McHenry, Jr., George Hartje, Ralph Hammond, Robert Henry, and Buford Robins.
