James H. ("Jack") Thayer, aged 33, died at St. Vincent's Infirmary, Little Rock, Wednesday night at 11:40 o'clock, following a short illness.
Mr. Thayer is survived by his wife, Mrs. Arle Elzey Thayer; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Thayer of Conway; one brother, Tom W. Thayer, Little Rock; and three sisters, Mrs. O.W. Oglesby of St. Louis, Mrs. Henry C. Hartje of Malvern, and Mrs. J.L. Brown, Little Rock.

Funeral services will be held at the family residence, 1013 Marshall Street, Little Rock, Friday at 1 o'clock p.m., conducted by Dr. E.P.J. Garrott, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Conway. The body will be brought overland to Conway and services conducted at Oak Grove Cemetery, under the auspices of the Green Grove lodge No. 107, F. and A.M., of which Thayer was a member, and interment made in the family lot. Pall-bearers are:
Honorary--Guy Camp, Homer Wilkins, Edward Camp, W.M. Harrell, Jr., (Pine Bluff), Charlie Heiligers and R.S. Diffee (Little Rock); active--Fred Hobbs, Russell Brown, (Little Rock), Lester Stewart, (Gurdon), Charlie Deal,
Harrell Gist and Royce Wilkins.

Mr. Thayer was born in Conway and he held many responsible business positions here before moving three years ago to Little Rock, where he has been engaged in Business. The many friends of the family regret Mr. Thayer's
untimely death.
