Udell H. Hill, 92, of Humboldt, Tenn., died June 17, 2012. He was born March 7, 1920, in Quitman, Ark., to the late Homer and Thelma (Swaffar) Hill. Udell was a World War II Veteran, having served in the Army. He was a truck driver; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, woodworking, traveling and being retired, for 35 years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Ada (Ussery) Hill; and a half brother, Norman Phillips.Udell is survived by one daughter, Judy Hill Huffman (D.C.) of Oakland, Tenn.; two brothers, W.E. Hill (Kathryn Campbell Hill) of Winton, Calif., and George A. Hill (Sissy Bell Hill) of Searcy, Ark.; one sister, Lureta Hill Yingling (Bob) of Conway; two grandchildren, Kim Huffman Smith (Martin) and Keith Huffman, both of Jackson, Tenn.; and one great-granddaughter, Angel Huffman of Oakland, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Graveside services will follow the visitation at 1:30 p.m. at Old Texas Cemetery in Guy, Ark., with D.C. Huffman officiating.Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home-Conway, 327-7727.
