Earl J. Davenport of Quitman died June 7, 2006. Born August 22, 1930 in Caraway, he was 75. He was the son of the late Goldie Kemper Davenport and Lilly Pearl Kirby Davenport.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Byrd Davenport; sister, Dorotha Carroll; and a grandson, Darrell Davenport.
He is survived by two sons, Raymond Davenport of Quitman and Rodger Davenport of West Bloomfield, Mich.; two daughters, Sue Ann Yant of White Lake, Mich. and Mary Yant of Highland, Mich.; three sisters, Cloramae Caldwell of Dumas, Faye Busby of Caraway and Pat Meadows of Monette; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
