Jerry Lee Newman
SWIFTON — Jerry Newman, 69, of Stranger’s Home, formerly of Egypt, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009, at the home of his daughter in Swifton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnie and Gladys Parker Newman, and sisters, Janet Modlen and Margie Tabone.
He is survived by four daughters, Donna Snedker and Sheri Russell, both of Swifton, Gwen Inmon of Hillsboro, Texas, and Keri Newman of Beloit, Wis.; son, Leslie Newman of Glenco; sisters, Neva Villerreal of Rockford, Ill., and Barbara Howard of Wichita, Kan.; brothers, Lindell Newman of Egypt and Larry Newman of Bono; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Markam Cemetery with Jerry Foster officiating under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.
Active pallbearers will be Lindell Newman, James Wilson, Brandon Burgett, Jerry Kennedy, Stacey Davidson and Ricky Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers include Troy Owens Jr. and Tim Nicholson.
Visitation will be from 5-8 tonight in the funeral home.
