Miss Evie Anne Shaw, 80, of 1723 Caldwell Street, died Saturday (August 31, 1974) at Memorial Hospital after an illness of several weeks. She was a retired librarian at State College of Arkansas.

She had been hospitalized several weeks in Little Rock and Conway.

Miss Shaw, born November 14, 1893, was lifelong resident of Conway. Her parents were Robert Bruce and Susan Virginia Pitts Shaw.

She was a graduate of SCA and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Miss Shaw was a sister of the late George G. Shaw of Conway and Bryan Shaw of Marianna. She was an aunt of George Shaw, Jr., of Norman, Okla.,
Mrs. Grantham (Ann) Couch of Shreveport, La., and
Mrs. Walter (Virginia) Hoy of Dallas, Tex.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel of the First Baptist Church with the Rev. William L. Probasco officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to any charity.
