April 20, 1897 - February 27, 1966
J. Dan White, 68, of 724 N. Jefferson died Sunday in a local hospital after a brief illness. Mr. White was a retired postal clerk at the El Dorado Post Office, a World War I veteran, and a member of the Asberry Sunday School Class of the Methodist Church. He was the son of John B. and Melessa McKinney White. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruth Lautermilk White of El Dorado, a daughter, Helen Frances Tomlinson of Angelton, Tex., one sister, Mrs. Bernice Stevens of St. Louis, a brother, Guy B. WHite, Tyler, Tex., and one granddaughter, Nancy Tomlinson of Angelton, Tex. Funeral services have been announced for Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Pratt Funeral Home, with Dr. C. Ray Hozendorf officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Moscow Cemetery, near Prescott. Pallbearers will be Roy Davis, Claud Corn, C. C. Royer, Clarence Taylor, F. F. Hicks and Jimmy Yates.
