Nellie Jump

Nellie Coffey Jump, 71, of Strawberry, died March 11, 2016, at White County Medical Center in Batesville.

Born July 18, 1944, in Forrest City, N.C., she lived most of her life in Joliet, Ill. She moved to Strawberry in 2007 and was a over-the-road truck driver.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Marion and Carrie Robbins Coffey; four brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Jump, whom she married Dec. 23, 1998; three daughters, Magdalena Merklin and husband Barry, Buckeye, Ariz., Tanya Pettit and husband John, Strawberry, and Peggy Sue Walls and husband Robert, Joliet, Ill.; a stepdaughter, Tiffany Yeager and husband Blair, Commerce City, Colo.; and a stepson, Jacob Jump, Westminster, Colo.

Graveside service is Thursday at 1 p.m. at Penn Cemetery at Strawberry with pastor Roger Randolph officiating. House-Gregg Funeral Home of Lynn has charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 11 a.m. until noon at the funeral home in Lynn.
