Arvil "A.C." Neighbors, 79, of Conway, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2009. Born in Mt. Vernon, AR on October 5, 1929, he was a son to the late Arvil and Alma Florence (Rice) Neighbors. Mr. Neighbors was a retired motor coach operator, who drove for both the Greyhound Bus Lines and Arrow Coach Bus Lines and was still driving at the age of 74.
Survivors include his wife Raydell (Clendenin) Neighbors; son, Bobby Neighbors and wife Gloria of Conway, AR; daughter Pamela Wilkins and husband Rex of Little Rock, AR; a sister Florine Hemphill of North Little Rock, AR; grandchildren Heather Singley, Shane Neighbors, step-grandchildren, Heather Kramer and Anna Tucker; great-grandson Hank Singley and step-great-granddaughter Lily Kramer and numerous relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home, in Conway, with Rev. Clayton Bulice officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, with Troy Sweeten, Gary Tackett, Brian Clendenin, Shane Neighbors, Bill Hemphill and Chuck Lambert serving as pallbearers. Family visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
