LITTLE ROCK — Doris Ann Powell Small, 73, formerly of Violet Hill, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, in Little Rock.
Born Dec. 19, 1937, in Violet Hill, she was the daughter of Cecil and Claris Sellers Powell. She was united in marriage to James Small in 1959 in Norfork.
She was a homemaker and was employed by Merico Bakery in Little Rock, retiring after 18 years of employment. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include three sons, Tommy Small of Hensley and James Small and Timmy Small, both of Little Rock; a daughter, Melissa Zajac of Hayward, Calif.; a brother, John Powell of Searcy; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Violet Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
