Hayden Bell, age 79, of Newark, passed away Monday, November 12, 2012 in his home. He was born January 1, 1933 in Saffel, the son of Burt Bell and Rosettie Mitchell Bell. He was of the Church of Christ faith.

Hayden is preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers: Clyde Bell, Glen Bell, Bill Wayne Bell, Morsdean Bell, Bobby Bell; and 3 sisters: Juanita Turner, Merine Doyle, and Fay Aldridge.

Survivors include his wife, Christene Bell of the home; 2 sons, Rickey Bell of Southside, Brian Bell and wife Leah of Auxvasse, MO; 2 daughters, Linda Martin and husband Michael of Newark, Connie Duncan and husband Marty of Newark; a brother, A.L. Bell of Saffel; a sister, Willene Whitlow of Saffel; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

Services are set for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Willis Funeral Service chapel with Danny Blevins officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Oaklawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joshua McIntosh, Brett Yates, Jeremy Page, Adam Fudge, Quinn Bell, and Lee Bell. Honorary pallbearers are Ashley Martin, Andy Martin, Michael Bell, and Jimmy Bell.

Visitation will be before the service Wednesday at Willis Funeral Service from 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M.

Christene Adams Bell
August 23, 1931 - April 24, 2022

Christene Adams Bell, age 90 of Batesville passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022. She was born August 23, 1931 to Walter and Victoria Means Adams. Christene married Hayden Bell on April 12, 1949. They were married 64 years. Christene loved and cherished her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Newark Church of Christ.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Martin (Michael) of Newark and Connie Duncan of Southside; two sons, Rickey Bell of Southside and Brian Bell (Leah) of Holliday, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Danny Blevins officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Michael Bell, Brett Yates, Mark Wycough, Josh McIntosh, Lee Bell and Jimmy McCracken.

Honorary pallbearers are Ashley Martin, Quinn Bell and Andy Martin.
