Pitney Oscar Wren Jr., 92, of La Crosse, Arkansas died Thursday, February 7, 2013 at his home.

Born July 17, 1920 in La Crosse, he was the son of Pitney Oscar Wren and Nona (Wilson) Wren.

He served in the U S Navy during World War II. He was postmaster and storekeeper at the La Crosse General Store for 33 years. He enjoyed working with cattle, hunting, and watching the Cardinals baseball team. He was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Jenneav (Montgomery) Wren; a daughter Leetha Wren, both of La Crosse; three nieces, JoAnn Nations, Mary Wren, and Jennie Montgomery; and two nephews, Tom Wren and Jim Montgomery and families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Enzel Wren and wife, Valerie, Quentin Wren and wife, Ruth, and an infant brother; sister, Katherine Cecil and husband, Glenn, and a nephew, O. E. Wren. Jr.

There will be a graveside service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Violet Hill Cemetery with Bro. Charles Crowson officiating.

There will be an open visitation from noon until 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 8, 2013 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Melbourne.

Memorials may be made to La Crosse Cemetery Association and Izard County Animal Rescue, PO Box 1062, Melbourne, AR 72556.

Jenneav Wren, 90, of Violet Hill, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018.

She was born on March 2, 1927 in Violet Hill, Arkansas to Rellie Montgomery and Eunice (Grimmett) Montgomery.

Jenneav was a homemaker and spent thirty-three years helping out at the La Crosse Post Office. She enjoyed working in the garden and yard, her pets, quilting, and crocheting. She also enjoyed being with her family and many friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Leetha Wren of La Crosse, Arkansas; brother, Devon Montgomery (Betty) of Derby, Kansas; two nieces, Jennie Montgomery and Jo Ann Nations; and two nephews, Jim Montgomery and Tom Wren (and families). She is also survived by her caregiving family who made the last years possible. This includes Emma, Donna, Carol, Mandy, Missy, Tonya, Stephanie, Alecia, Shelby, Jonetta, Sharon, Debra, Katrina and all the AAA ladies. May God Bless You All!

Visitation will be on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 6:00pm to 7:00 pm at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Melbourne, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Izard County Animal Rescue Effort (ICARE), P.O. Box 1062, Melbourne, AR 72556 or a charity of your choice.
