Thurlo William Lee, 91, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away at his home on January 24, 2013.
He was born on November 13, 1921 in Onia, Arkansas to Roscoe and Melissa (Balentine) Lee. He was a minister and a member of the First Baptist Church in Mountain View.
Thurlo also served in the United States National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine Lee of the home; two sons, Jimmy Lee of Pensacola, Florida and Jason Lee of Little Rock, Arkansas; one stepson, Kenneth Scott of Timbo, Arkansas; two daughters, Shirley Lewis of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas and Mary Beacham of Conway, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; one stepgranddaughter and fifteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Fletcher of Onia, Arkansas and Nadine Bear of Damascus, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel Moore Lee; parents, Roscoe and Melissa (Balentine) Lee; one grandson, Jason T. Lee; six brothers, Laudis, Johnny, Leonard, Charlie, Willis and Wilmon; one sister, Lizzie Smithee.
A visitation will take place on Saturday, January 26, 2013 beginning at 1:15PM with services following at 2:30PM at the First Baptist Church in Mountain View, Arkansas. Brothers Ray Brown and Bobby Walker are officiating.
Interment will take place at Pordue Cemetery in Onia, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Kenny Smithee, Jeff Fletcher, Mike Fletcher, Rick Fletcher, Gary Don Fletcher, and David Fletcher. Honorary pallbearers are Senior Men of F.B.C.
