SPRINGDALE — Clifford C. "Nubbin" Cordes, 82, of Springdale died June 22, 2005, at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center. He was born Aug. 23, 1922, to Ben E. and Dora L. Wurdeman Cordes. He was a truck driver and a member of the VFW in Springdale. He was a machinist's mate in the Navy during World War II.
Survivors include three sons, Jimmy Lee Cordes of Chillicothe, Ohio, Dennis Cordes of Atlanta and Timothy Jeu Devine of Springdale; four daughters, Judith Ann Turner of Waldron, Brenda Marrs of Huntsville, Denise Potts of Charleston and Lana Harris of Ozark; one brother, Glenn Cordes of Nob Hill; one sister, Percy Hight of Springdale; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Sisco Chapel in Springdale with burial in Farmington Cemetery.
Military honors will be conducted by VFW Bella Vista Post 9063.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
