Mrs. Frances M. Ward Hand, 71, of Conway died Saturday (Jan. 22, 2000) at Conway Regional Medical Center. Born March 3, 1928, in Norwalk, Conn., a daughter of the late Lester and Lottie Mavis Britt Ferguson, she was a homemaker and a Freewill Baptist. Survivors are a son, Wiley C. Hand Jr. of Milford, Iowa; two daughters, Sherry L. McClain of Conway and Dovie P. Collier and Marsha A. Urick, both of Missouri; a sister, Marie Mascarella of New Jersey; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Griffin Leggett-Conway with the Rev. Terry Walker officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Copper, Wayne Reed, Malvin Bynum, Chanson Newborn, Sherri Clark and Elbert Credit.
