Ruby Estelle Barley Robins, daughter of George Asa and Nancy Thomas Barley. Born on January 16, 1910 and died November 12, 2007.

She was married for 64 years to Buford E. Robins, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Robins Muse, a great grandson Scott Talmage and a great grand daughter Laura Talmage. Two brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Robins Harrison and husband, Monroe Harrison of Fayetteville; three grand daughters, Rebecca Muse Talmage of Florence, AL, Celeste Muse Parks and husband David Parks of Maumelle, Priscilla Muse Rau and husband Tim Rau of Plano, TX; three grandsons, Phillip Robins Harrison, of Bristol VA, David Monroe Harrison and wife Katy Harrison, Scott Patrick Harrison and wife Laurie Harrison all of Fayetteville.

Also surviving are 13 great grand children, Tara and Adam Talmage; Kristin and Justin Parks; Lauren, Courtney, and Catherine Rau; Mary Kate and Beth Anne Harrison; Hayden, Drake, Hayes, and Hunter Harrison.

Ruby lived most of her life in Conway and Little Rock where she raised her family. She was active in P.T.A., Girl Scouts, and Rainbow Girls, while her daughters were growing up. She was a homemaker who excelled in needlework. She loved growing and arranging flowers. She was also active in the Eastern Star, Garden Club, Orpheus Club, Faulkner County Historical Society, and a volunteer for many community efforts. Ruby was a dedicated Gray Lady with the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock. She was recognized for contributing over 2,000 hours for service. She and her husband loved to travel and spent many wonderful times together while traveling.

Ruby was a member of the Myrtle Charles Sunday School class and was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Conway. In 2001 she moved from Conway to the Gardens at Arkanshire Retirement Community in Springdale to be near her daughter. While residing there she attended Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville. In July of 2005 she moved to Fayetteville City Hospital.

Family was most important to Ruby and she loved her connection to her children, grandchildren, great grand children, nieces, and nephews. The family wishes to express special thanks to Jacque and Sherman Peterson of Conway and the staff at Fayetteville City Hospital for their kindness and loving care.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 15, at 10 a.m., in the Chapel of Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 14, from 6 p.m. to 8.m.

Memorials to Mrs. Robins' name may be made to First United Methodist Church in Conway.
