Obituary
Vaughn Raymon Blue Sr., 83, of Batesville died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at his home.
Born Oct. 26, 1928, at Cushman, he was the son of David Aldrith Blue and Ollie Selina Haddock Blue. He was the owner/operator of Blue's Body Shop from 1968 to 1986. Prior to that, he worked 18 years for Hightower Body Shop. He was a Christian.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Elisabeth McIlroy Blue; a son, Vaughn Raymon Blue Jr. of Batesville; a granddaughter, Beth Guest of Spokane, Wash.; two great-grandchildren, Nia Guest and Noah Guest, both of Spokane; a sister, Thida Hoffman of Collinsville, Okla.; and several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, J.R. Blue.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in Oaklawn Cemetery at Batesville with Vaughn Blue Jr. officiating. Arrangements were by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
