Kathryn the daughter of Harry O. and Martha Jane (Thompson) Truxler. Pete the son of Henry C. and Mamie (Shambley) Wicker.



C.E. (Pete) Wicker
C.E. (Pete) Wicker, 90, of Hoxie passed away September 12, 2016 at the Belle Meade Nursing Facility.

Born February 27, 1926 in Fontaine, son of Henry C. and Mamie Shambley Wicker. He was a veteran of the US Navy, and then retired from the Southwestern Power Administration. He was also a member of the Sedgwick Baptist Church. He also loved sports and was a big fan of the Hoxie Mustangs, Dallas Cowboys and the Razorbacks.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kathryn Truxler Wicker; a son, Cecil Wicker Jr., four sisters, Delmar Smith, Julie Gambill, Rachel Killian, and Dolly Wicker; and two brothers, Denver and Frank Wicker.

Survivors include his three daughters, Vicki (Steve) Smith of Brookland, Gina (Lonnie) Scudder of Paragould, and Teresa (Brady) Campbell of Hoxie; one son, Terry (Lisa) Wicker of Jonesboro; eleven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a special niece, Evelyn Sturkie of Paragould; a special nephew, Dennis Truxler of Quitman and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Old Military Cemetery in Sedgwick with Bro. Tom Lamb, Dennis Truxler, and Mike Doyle officiating. Pallbearers will be Butch Scudder, Chad Wicker, Toby Wicker, Michael Phillips, Vicki Smith, and Zach Callahan.
