Rex R. Carey, 68, of 802 Austin St., died Saturday at a local hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. today at Proctors Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Williams officiating. Burial was to have been in Memorial Park Cemetery. He was a World War II veteran and a retired district supervisor for the Woodlands Division of International Paper Company. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Sarah Walton Carey of Camden; a daughter, Mrs. Lani Brian of Marshall, Tex.; two brothers, Glen Carey of Pulaski, N.Y. and Ward Carey of Sandy Creek, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. S. F. Bennett of Florence, Ala., and Mrs. Tom Kennedy of Liverpool, N.Y. (Camden News - March 21, 1977)
