James E. Smith, Sr., 76, of Conway, Arkansas, died Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at Conway Regional Medical Center. Mr. Smith was born August 19, 1931 in Seminole, Oklahoma a son of the late Ralph Roger and Dorothy (Riley) Smith; and was one of seven brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Smith who died March 23, 1992; a son, Jason Eugene Smith and a grand daughter, Sarah Ann Cross.
He was a retired sawmill worker.
He is survived by sons, James E. Smith, Jr. of Conway; Charles J. Smith of Iowa; a daughter, Rebecca Swepston of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; and three grand children.
Memorial graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Oak Grove Cemetery. Arrangements by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway. 501-327-7727.
