John M. McNeil was born in Adams county, Ohio Jan. 10th, 1853 and died May 10th, 1919 at 12 o'clock. On October 20th, 1891 he was married to Dora C. Keener in Bentonville, Ark. To this union was born four children, Charlie W, Mrs. Daisy F. Lynn, Geo. D. and D. Ray McNeil, three of whom survive him, Geo. D. McNeil having departed this life Jan. 29th, 1903. He also raised a step-daughter, Mrs. Viola Vincent. He leaves four brothers, WE., A.J., G.D. and G.N. McNeil. There is also a daughter by a former marriage, Mrs. Nancy Newcome of Colorado. He united with the Methodist church in Gentry, Ark. in 1903. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. T.A. Martin, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Gentry cemetery.

Charlie McNeil, who was called here on account of the illness and death of his father, left last night for Cape Girardeau, Mo. where he is an engineer on a steam shovel outfit for the Frisco Ry. Co.
