Mrs. Effie Whiteaker Passes Away Tuesday
Mrs. Effie Wayland Whiteaker, aged about 42 of this place, died in the Arkansas Tuberculosis Sanitarium at Booneville, late Tuesday. She had been in failing health for the past several months and entered the sanitarium November 2.
The remains were returned here Wednesday and the funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, services to be conducted by Rev. Clarence Wilcox. Interment will be in the Staggs Cemetery.
Deceased was born and reared in this vicinity and was loved and respected by a large circle of friends. She was the widow of the late Claud Whiteaker, whose death occurred about a year ago.
Surviving are a daughter, Miss Yolen Whiteaker of this place and two sons, Orbie Whiteaker of the Army, stationed at Ft. Knox, Ky. and Paul of this place, besides numerous other relatives.
