James R. Donnell, 68, native and lifelong resident of Faulkner County, retired druggist and prominent Mason and Odd Fellow, died suddenly at a Little Rock hospital. Mr. Donnell, whose health had been impaired for some time, went to the hospital March 4, but had improved so much that Mrs. Donnell had gone to the hospital expecting to take him home. Unfortunately, his condition deteriorated. Mr. Donnell was born near Greenbrier and lived on a farm there until he came to Conway in 1890. He held two elective county offices and then became a pharmacist. He married Miss Lee Ora Glenn, daughter of a well-known Faulkner County family. They had three sons and a daughter. His death is deeply mourned by a wide circle of friends and relatives in this county as well as by many associates in his fraternal affiliations throughout the state and nation.
