USMA Class of 1946, Captain Harton was a member of the 526th Fighter Bomber Squadron, 86th Fighter Bomber Group at Neubiberg Air Base, Germany. He died in an aircraft accident at Oxanard Air Force Base on May 4, 1953. Captain Harton was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.
