Margaret Cecile Kamp, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2007. She was born December 5, 1949 to Dr. H.W. "Wib" and Nancy Kamp in Denton.
Margaret graduated from Denton High School in 1968. She received her B.A. in Art from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, and her M.A. in Art from Texas Woman's University in Denton. She worked for many years in drafting, graphic art, and illustration. Her paintings are in the collections of various corporations in Dallas. She was a member of various art organizations, Mensa, and a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Denton.
She is survived by both parents; two sisters, Linda Gary of Lake Dallas, and Pete Kamp and her husband, David Gosdin of Denton; one brother, Bill Kamp and his wife, Kathy of Sanger; four nieces, Nancy Wiggins, Vicky Kamp-Ficus, Andrea Gary, and Amy Gosdin; two nephews, Daniel Gary and Matt Gosdin; one great niece and three great nephews.
The family sincerely thanks the caring personnel of Cottonwood Manor and Solaris Healthcare for all of their kindness and support.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
