Jerry Dart, 69 year old resident of Gentry, Arkansas, died December 7, 2014 at Willard Walker Hospice, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Born March 5, 1945 in Stockton, California, he was the son of Opal Isaac Dart and Ruth Pauline (Burkett) Dart.
Jerry married Barbara Backer in Decatur, Arkansas on October 15, 1994. He worked for many years as a Truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Opal Isaac and Ruth Pauline, brother Ronnie Dart, sister Shirley George, sister Lavonne LeRoy and brother Tommy Dart.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; five daughters, Pauline Cook and husband Ralph of Portland, Oregon, Cheri Utterback and husband Larry of Vancouver, Washington, Veronica Dart and husband Roger of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Danielle Rushing and husband Michael of Colcord, Oklahoma and Misty Butler and husband Stan of Gentry, Arkansas; two sons, Isaac Dart and wife Cristy of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Shawn Monk and wife April of Bentonville, Arkansas; thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchild to whom he loved dearly; two sisters, Ruth Sprinkle of Gentry, Arkansas and Lonie Leroy of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; and four brothers, John Ray Dart of Siloam Spring, Arkansas, Bill Dart of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Gile Louis Dart and wife Donna of Missouri and Bobby Dart; Father in law; and best friend and fishing buddy, Lewis Backer.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Independent Baptist, on Oklahoma 59 south in West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma with Pastor Craig Ingram officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
