C.C. COUCH DIES AT HOME HERE

Christopher Columbus Couch died this morning at 2:45 o'clock at the home of his son, Waddie Couch, of 16 North Locust street, after an illness of three years.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at Moore's parlors with interment at Son's Chapel. Rev. L.L.
Fritts conducted the service.

Mr. Couch was born March 29, 1836, at Shelbyville, Tennessee. His wife, Mrs. Amelia Meadows Couch, passed away 10 years ago. Surviving are the son here, a son, Charles Couch, of Richmond, Missouri; a son, Claude Couch and a daughter, Mrs. J.D. Couch, both of Farmington; a daughter Mrs. Belle Bower, of near Tontitown; a nephew, Henry Couch, and a great nephew, Ed Couch, both of Fayetteville. Two of the children were unable to be here for the funeral.

C.C. Couch of Harris was favorably passed by the Confederate Pension Board of Washington County for the amount of $50 per annum.

C.C. Couch is on the Confederate Pensioners list to receive $35 from the Washington County Clerk’s office.

C.C. Couch filed Veteran Application #13506 with the Confederate Pension Board of Washington County for a Confederate pension and it was received as allowed August 29, 1901 at the State, citing his service with Company F, 25th Tennessee Infantry from 1861 thru 1865. Mr. Couch died November 22, 1928.
