ROUND MOUNTAIN — David W. Uhl Sr., 74, of the Round Mountain community died June 24, 2008, at his home. He was born July 28, 1933, in Watonga, Okla., to Ralph and Ada Ellen Andrew Uhl.
He worked in construction most of his life and retired from Campbell Soup Co. in 1994. He was an Army veteran. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, June M. Uhl; a son, David W. Uhl Jr. and wife Kim of Fayetteville; four daughters, Janet Pry and Alice Walker, both of Fayetteville, Ann Martinez and husband Robert of Fayetteville, Elaine Montgomery and husband Glen of Avoca; two sisters, Corrine Miner of Elkins and Deloris Tuck of Fayetteville; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at noon today at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville, online at www.mooresfuneralchapel.com. The Rev. Lynville Eaton will officiate.
Burial will be in Son's Chapel Cemetery.
