Era Fay “Frinchie” Dupree, 87, of Chauvin, Louisiana died Monday, November 30, 2009 in Chauvin.
He was born Friday, August 18, 1922 in Houston, Texas and was the son of Charles L. Dupree and Era J. Rowell Dupree. He was a member of the South Terrebonne Church of Christ. Mr. Dupree was a Coast Guard veteran and also a member of Woodmen of the World, the VFW and a lifetime member of the NRA.
He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law: Era Jeanette and Dale Duplantis, Linda and Carrol “Fred” Fredrick, and Deborah and Michael Denning all of Chauvin; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Huskey Dupree; a sister, Vera Dupree; and three brothers: Abe, Charlie and Leroy Dupree.
Veteran services will be held at the Chauvin Funeral Home on Thursday, December 3, at 4:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 5 at the Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City, Arkansas.
Burial will follow the services at Ward Cemetery in Strawberry.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until service time at the funeral home.
