Jeff the husband of Linette (Milligan) Dungan. He is the son of Miles Junior and Hertha Marie (Sudmann) Dungan.
Jeff Dungan, 56, of Hillsboro passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014, in a Dallas hospital.
Funeral services in Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Darrel Beggs officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, April ,4 2014, at the funeral home.
Graveside services in Arkansas will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Ward Cemetery on Highway 230 in Strawberry, Arkansas with Rev. Bill Sagely officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Cave City First Freewill Baptist Church on Matlock Road in Cave City, Arkansas.
Jeff was born November 3, 1957 in DuPage County, Illinois to Miles Junior and Hertha Marie (Sudmann) Dungan. On October 27, 1990, he married Linette Milligan in Cave City, Arkansas. Known as a workaholic, Jeff was employed for the past 11 years by Stewart and Stevenson, LLC as a mechanic.
Jeff loved life to the fullest, but more than anything he loved spending time with his children and his family. He had a very distinctive laugh that his family loved to hear. With his outgoing personality, he never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need. Flying model and ultra-light airplanes and raising his three horses were hobbies that he enjoyed very much. He was of the Lutheran faith.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Randy Lee Dungan.
Survivors include his wife, Linette Dungan of Hillsboro; two children, Robert Miles Dungan and Brittney Michele Dungan, both of Hillsboro; sister, Barbara Major of Arlington; in-laws, Bobby and Glyndene Deaton of Cave City, Arkansas and Troy and Linda Milligan of Batesville, Arkansas; brother-in-law, William Milligan of Cave City, Arkansas; and sister-in-law, Glenda Waters of Batesville, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 or to the charity of one’s choice.
