Robert Dewayne Jeffery, son of Betty Elliott Jeffery and the late Alvin Jeffery, was born June 29, 1965 in Melbourne, Arkansas. He departed this life January 6, 2016 at his home in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 50 years, 7 months and 8 days. He was a lifetime resident of Melbourne. He enlisted in the United States Navy. A knee injury forced him to take a medical discharge. He spent his life as a loving, son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, provider and friend. He retired from Boeing Aircraft after many years of employment. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Melbourne First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Rhonda Jeffery of the home; three sons: Alvin Dean and spouse Jamey of Nashville, Bill Jeffery and spouse Taylor of Brookland, and Joseph Jeffery of the home; his mother: Betty Jeffery of Melbourne; two brothers: Steve Jeffery of Springdale and Matt Jeffery and spouse Kendra of Guion; one sister: Elizabeth Deeter and spouse Bill of Lynn, Arkansas; one granddaughter: Eleanor Rose Jeffery of Brookland and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his father: Alvin Jeffery.
Funeral service will be Saturday, January 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Howard Memorial Funeral Chapel in Melbourne with Rick Burke officiating. Burial will be at Combs Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Visitation will be Saturday, January 9 beginning at 12 noon.
Pallbearers: Michael Jarvis, Brandon Wright, Lorne Savell, Lawrence Savell, Rick Hoskinds and Alan Estes.
