SIDNEY – Linda Sue Engle, 60, of Sidney died Thursday, March 13, 2008, at her home.
Born Sept. 18, 1947, at Batesville, she was the daughter of Dillard Odell and Ann Fillmore Hightower. She had worked for Capital Mercury Shirt Factory in Salem and Melbourne and at UniFirst in Cave City. She was a member of Sidney Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Douglas Engle; a daughter, Beth Ann Hames of Sidney; a brother, Lowell "Butch" Hightower of Hot Springs; two grandchildren, Camron Hames of Mount Pleasant and Carlie Qualls of Cave City; and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Sidney Baptist Church with Alvin Wiles and Tom Doty officiating. Burial will be in Yeager Cemetery in Needmore under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers will be Brett Marlin, Don Bransgaard, Tony Perkey, Paul C. Slade, Jimmy Shepherd and Josh Tucker.
Honorary pallbearers are the friends who have prayed for her the past five years.
