Melba McConnell Jones, 48, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 1995, while on vacation in Alamosa, Colo.

Born Jan. 16, 1947, in Fayetteville, she was the daughter of Kelley and Alta McKenzie Henderson. She was employed by Marshalltown Tool Company, a member of the Church of Christ and a lifelong resident of Fayetteville.

Survivors are two daughters, Kelley Geary of Springdale and Ashley McConnell of the home; two sisters, Donna Thompson of Fayetteville and Glenna Bohannon of Fayetteville; a very special friend, Jerry Ogden of Witter and a host of other friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 18, 1995, in the chapel of Nelson's Funeral Home with Mr. Bobby Dockery officiating. Burial will be in Buckner Cemetery in Fayetteville. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nelson's Funeral Home in Fayetteville.

The family has requested memorials be made to Gospel Track International, c/o Baldwin Church of Christ, 4377 E. Huntsville Road, Fayetteville, 72701.

Jessie (Fay) McConnell, 41, of Fayetteville died June 6 at a Fayetteville hospital. He was born June 13, 1946, the son of Omer and Ruby Williams McConnell. He was a pressman for the Northwest Arkansas Times and a member of the Black Hawk Archery Club and the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Melba McConnell of the home; two daughters, Kelley Faye McConnell and Ashley McConnell, both of the home; his father, Omer McConnell of Fayetteville; two brothers, Francis McConnell of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Ray McConnell of Fayetteville; and one sister, Helen Joyce Grigg of Fayetteville.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Nelson's Funeral Home of Fayetteville with burial in Buckner Cemetery.
