Ophie O. Conwell, 85, of Conway went home to be with the Lord on January 31, 2005. Ms. Conwell was born October 3,1919, to the late Miriam Wentworth Pruitt and George L. Pruitt of Munday, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, George L. Conwell and sibblings, Earl Pruitt, Paul Pruitt and Everett Pruitt. She is survived by her daughter, Paula Adlong and husband Donald W. Adlong of Conway, three grandsons, Matthew and wife Rosemary of Conway, David and wife Tomile of Greenbrier, Andrew and wife Darla of Conway, and seven great-grandchildren, Luke Adlong, Sally Ann Adlong, Amber Adlong, Ashley Adlong, Justin Adlong, Jacob Adlong and Joshua Adlong. She was a homemaker that loved her church, gardening and quilting and was affectionately known as Granny by her grandchildren and G.G. by her great grandchildren. She was a member of Pickles Gap Baptist Church and the Senior Adult Choir of Second Baptist Church. Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday February 1, 2005 at the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Conway. A celebration service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday February 2, 2005.at the Roller - McNutt Funeral Home Conway. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons Matthew, David and Andrew Adlong and great grandsons Luke, Justin, Jacob and Joshua Adlong.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Nursing Home Gift Fund of Faulkner County, 801 Locust, Conway, AR. 72034.
